Fight trafficking with your pocketbook: Program June 11

In many parts of the world, being poor isn’t just a hardship, it can be life threatening. In some countries, the most-endangered – orphans, single women and single mothers – are targeted for human trafficking. Desperation and false claims of a better life draw them into danger.

Express open 7 days/week starting May 1

Hours at FDLPL Express, the branch of the Fond du Lac Public Library located near Festival Foods, will change effective May 1.

The branch will be open seven days a week: 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. The branch previously had been closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

A rare look at Havana through photos, music

Giving a rare inside look at the vibrant and rich culture of Havana, Judy Goldsmith will present Cuba Today at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, at the Fond du Lac Public Library.
