Farmers Markets aren’t the only thing bursting with goodness this time of year. Two sales at the Fond du Lac Public Library’s used-books-and-more Chapter 52 Bookstore offer a cornucopia of savings in June:
All programs are free. Only Mega-Mondays require tickets. No registration required for the others.
Mega-Mondays: Professional entertainers every week at 10 a.m. and repeated at 1 p.m. All ages. Children 5 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited. Free tickets are required and are available at the Children’s Desk the Tuesday before each performance.
Two very funny new stories have been installed in the StoryWalk® on the east end of Lakeside Park near the intersection of Harbor View and Winnebago drives.
The new stories, The Bear Ate Your Sandwich by Julia Sarcone-Roach and Move Over, Rover by Karen Beaumont, encourage families to enjoy reading and the outdoors by reading a book – a page at a time – at intervals on the walking trail.
The Lakeside Park project was installed in 2015 by the Fond du Lac Public Library and City of Fond du Lac Parks Dept. and sponsored by Morning Kiwanis.
Kids ages 6 to 12 and their families are invited to Half Day Party at the Fond du Lac Public Library on Friday, May 6. Kids who attend Fond du Lac School District have early release that day. The library party will start at 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Kids will watch Finding Nemo (G), munch on snacks and play bingo in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.
