Friendly dogs help young readers relax

Kids ages 6 to 12 who could benefit from practicing their reading are invited to participate in Paws to Read. Kids read aloud to certified therapy dogs in a relaxed setting. Studies have shown that reading aloud to dogs helps put the child at ease.

Paws to Read lets young readers relax, practice

Kids ages 6 to 12 who could benefit from practicing their reading are invited to participate in the Fond du Lac Public Library’s Paws to Read program. Kids read aloud to certified therapy dogs in a relaxed setting. Studies have shown that reading aloud to dogs helps put the child at ease.

Raising readers

Here at the Fond du Lac Public Library kids’ site you can learn, read, listen and play 24/7. Come after you’ve done the dishes, let the dog out and tucked the kids into bed. This is a space where you can connect with people just like you who are trying to raise kids who will love to read and learn.
