Eugene G. McLane Meeting Room
How can consumers have an impact on human trafficking? By purchasing certified fair trade goods, consumers can remove the ugly connection between poverty and human trafficking. Sister Stella Storch, founder of Empowering Women's Future: The AIDS Orphan Sewing Project in Tanzania, East Africa, will present a program and slide show that explains fair trade, trafficking and how the sewing project is offering security to endangered women. Fair trade items will be on display, and refreshments - fair trade coffee and chocolate - will be served. Free. No registration required.
