Fond du Lac Reads 2010

Schedule of Events

Imagine--Three Lines UnTethered March 1-April 29, Langdon Divers Community Gallery, Fond du Lac Public Library

Area artists will visually interpret Haiku poems written by members of the Fond du Lac Area Writers group in this exciting exhibit. The Japanese form of poetry known as Haiku is based on three lines, with a total of seventeen syllables--five, seven and five. When the reader is an artist you now have someone who can interpret that mental image in their art, which is the basis for Imagine-Three Lines UnTethered. Local writing talent is intertwined with area visual artists exploring the imagery of Haiku.

Participating visual artists: Nancy Beresford, Colleen Chertos, Nancy Donohue, Susan Fiebig, Debra Lee Hellwig, Nicci Martin, Mary Millin, Pat Reiher, Alice Tzakais, Mary Wehner, Steve Wirtz, and Wanda Yuhas.

Participating writers: Pamela Becker, Dolores K. Graham, Barbara Lukas, Evelyn McLean Cowan, G. Ross Purcell, Karen Rangel, Barbara Ronning, G. A. Scheinoha, Frank Scotello, Neil M. Sheldon, John Silah, and Deb Walgenbach.
