Fond du Lac Reads 2010

Introduction

Book coverCover of book Living a Country yearFond du Lac Reads is a series of programs designed to get as many people as possible in the community to read the same book at the same time. It is held annually in March.

Our goal is to foster community by providing a forum for public discussion and interaction—and most of all—demonstrate that reading can be fun!

The 2010 Fond du Lac Reads selection is really two books:

The Dangerous Book for Boys by Conn and Hal Iggulden
and
The Daring Book for Girls by Andrea J. Buchanan and Miriam Peskowitz

Both books are collections of fun things to do and interesting facts from science, history, and nature. Topics include tying knots, making a go-cart, famous battles, famous queens, and how to paddle a canoe. These books are for the young and the young at heart. Parents can read them with their children, and grandparents can read them with their grandchildren. Everyone can find something new to learn or become nostalgic about. Whatever your age, come and join us in reading these fun books!
