True Compass : a memoir
Edward M. Kennedy
This past August the world lost one of the greatest Senators in the nation’s history, Senator Edward Moore "Ted" Kennedy. Read about this fascinating man in “True Compass : a memoir”, a book which took him almost five years to write. You might expect Ted Kennedy's memoir to be about his life and times, or about his many campaigns, or about his legislative victories. But it's not. His life has been marked by tragedy and perseverance, a love for family and an abiding faith. He writes movingly of his brothers and their influence on him; his years of struggle in the wake of their deaths; his marriage to the woman who changed his life, Victoria Reggie Kennedy; and how his recent diagnosis and death due to a malignant brain tumor has given even greater urgency to his long crusade for improved health care for all Americans. This book makes for fascinating reading.
The library has copies available in regular and large print, cd-book, and e-book formats.
