Information Services Librarian
Fond du Lac Public Library seeks an outgoing, creative Information Services Librarian to be part of an innovative library team. The successful candidate must demonstrate an ability to create lasting connections between the library and the public within a dynamic environment. Patience and a sense of humor are critical.
The successful candidate will:
- Build, sustain and grow partnerships with community organizations
- Research, analyze and update community statistics as part of the LIFE report
- Actively participate in library committees and/or community partnerships
- Coordinate and oversee grant activities as assigned
- Teach computer skills to novice and intermediate users in small group settings
Qualifications
- MLS (or equivalent) from an ALA accredited program. Applications from May 2010 graduates are welcome
- Ability to communicate to a diverse population with patience and unbiased understanding
- Clearly express ideas, goals and procedures verbally and in writing
- Experience using CMS programs such as Drupal
- Experience with social networking software
- Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable

This is a 35 hour per week position that could eventually go to 40 hours per week.
Starting salary is $22.07 per-hour; liberal benefits.
