Meeting Rooms
Your library has two separate meeting rooms that may be reserved online:
- The Seefeld Conference Room seats up to 12 around a conference table. There is no charge for the use of this room. It is available at any time the library is open.
- The Eugene G. McLane Meeting Room seats up to 94, has a small kitchen, and may be arranged in a variety of different ways. There is a charge for the use of this room.

Room Availability:
Eugene G. McLane Meeting Room:
- The Eugene G. McLane Meeting Room seats 94 people theater style. It may be made available outside the regular operating hours of the library. There are four layout options to select from when booking this room.
- Reservations are accepted on a first come, first served basis up to 90 days in advance.
- In order to make library meeting facilities available to the widest group of users, the Fond du Lac Public Library reserves the right to refuse reservations to groups that have used a meeting room six times or more in the previous 12 months.
- Reservation fees are charged for the EGM room because of the need to provide staff to change room setups and cleaning and to encourage small groups to use other rooms in the library.
- A fee of $5 per hour or any part of an hour will be charged for nonprofit groups and community organizations conducting educational and/or business meetings where no fee is charged for attending, no donation or free will offerings are requested and nothing is sold. There is a $10, 2 hour minimum. If there is a question regarding the nonprofit status of a group, the library reserves the right to request proof of Federal nonprofit, 501(c)3 status.
- A fee of $25 per hour or any part of an hour will be charged for all private parties (showers, graduations, gift openings, etc.), any reservation by a business or for profit enterprise as well as any meeting by any group where a fee is charged for attending, free will offering or donation is requested or a solicitation or sale is made. There is a $50, 2 hour minimum.
- There is an additional charge of $25 per hour for any meeting extending beyond closing or beginning before the library opens such that staff must be scheduled to stay late or come in early.
- A small kitchen area is available with the Eugene G. McLane Exhibit Hall for preparation of refreshments. NO ALCOHOL may be served at any time.
- Groups bringing in refreshments, other than coffee or another similar beverage, are required to pay a $50 cleanup deposit using a debit or credit card. Refreshments include cookies, candy, donuts, etc. Please note that cleanup fees are payable in advance with credit or debit cards only. Your card will not be charged this fee if you leave the room as you found it.
- Equipment that may be reserved with the room includes 10-, 30- and 50-cup coffeemakers, an overhead, a podium with microphone, VCR/TV/DVD, a video projector and wireless internet. We cannot confirm the requested equipment is available until your reservation is processed.
- Reservations for meetings requiring the library to schedule staff in the building when they are not normally here must be made at least one week in advance.
- No reservations will be confirmed until all fees have been received.
Seefeld Conference Room
- The general public may also reserve the Seefeld Conference Room.
- The Seefeld Conference Room seats up to 12 people around a conference table. Because of limited staff availability we are unable to change or customize room setup.
- The Seefeld Conference Room (located in the Seefeld Local History Area) seats about 10 people at a conference table. When not reserved for library purposes or by the Fond du Lac Literacy Services, it may be reserved by the public. If not reserved, it is available for use by study groups on a first come, first served basis.Unfortunately, because of building security issues, this room is not available prior to opening or after closing.
- In order to make library meeting facilities available to the widest group of users, the Fond du Lac Public Library reserves the right to refuse reservations to groups that have used a meeting room six times or more in the previous 12 months.
- There is no charge for use of the Seefeld Conference Room.
All Meeting Rooms:
- We are unable to accept reservations for meetings that extend beyond closing on Fridays or on days that the library will not be open to the public.
- All meetings must end 10 minutes before the library is closed and the room must be vacated by closing time unless prior arrangements have been made.
- The group or individual making a reservation may be held responsible for the actions of those attending a meeting. They will also be held responsible for any damage to library facilities, furnishings, or equipment.
- Those using meeting rooms are expected to conform to all regulations governing the use of the library.
Persons or groups violating any part of these regulations may be denied further use of the meeting facilities.
- The Library reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any meeting in order to make space available for a library function. In instances where such cancellations occur, the library will make every attempt to find an alternate meeting time.
- The fact that a meeting is held at the Library does not constitute an endorsement of the ideas or information expressed at the meeting. No group using the meeting rooms should attempt to infer an endorsement by the Library in their advertising or use the Library's address as the group's address. Reservations may be cancelled in advance of any meeting where this regulation is violated.
