Registration begins June 9

  • Reading Records for children ages 3- 12 are available for Catch the Reading Bug in the Children’s Room  Fond du Lac Public Library and on the Bookmobile  throughout the summer.   There will be lots of prizes to reward readers and contests to enter.
  • Special programs for kids of all ages will be held on Mondays at the library throughout the summer: Pick up a free ticket for these events at the library.  Tickets will be available beginning the Tuesday before each event.

  •  Family Fireflies Fest for ages 5-12 will be held on Wednesday evenings at the library from 6:30-7:15 pm, June 25-July 30.  This weekly drop-in program features stories and a craft.  No registration required.
  • Summer Lunch Bunch for ages 6-12 will be held on Tuesdays from 11:30-12:30 pm, June 24 – July 29.  Each week kids will enjoy stories, fun and games.  Children should bring a bag lunch.  Beverage will be provided. No registration required.
  • Catch the Reading Bug Storytime for ages 2-5 will be held on Wednesdays from 10:00-10:30 am, June 25 – July 30.  Registration is not required.  The program will feature books, flannel board stories, finger rhymes and music.

Two year olds must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required. 

 

  • Teens, ages 13 -17, are invited to join the Metamorphosis reading program. Prizes for every 7 days of reading. Contests. Programs. Sign up in the Children's Room starting June 9.
  • Adults can join the fun too with their own special book club this summer.

BUSES TO BOOKS – Children and Teens ages 6-17 can ride the City of Fond du Lac buses to the library and home again free on Thursdays from June 12-August 21 by showing their library card.  Ages 6-9 must be accompanied by an adult.

 

  • The Balloon Kid, Stacey Schmude, Monday, June 16, 3 pm, at the Bookmobile Stop at Taylor Park in Rosendale.  No ticket needed.  Regular storytimes will also be held at the Rosendale, Mt. Calvary, and St. Cloud stops during the summer.
