Each fall, the Fond du Lac Public Library encourages the community to come together to read a single book. This November, the community is invited to discover the intrigue, mystery and excitement found in “The Parker Inheritance” by Varian Johnson.

The book, suitable for youth through adults, tells the story of a girl who finds a mysterious letter addressed to her grandmother. In it, she learns about an age-old injustice, a mystery surrounding the letter-writer and a fortune that awaits the person who solves the puzzle. With the help of a neighbor, she delves deep into her community’s history of secrets and ugly deeds.

To celebrate this year’s Fond du Lac Reads selection, the library has planned a month of activities:

The Fond du Lac Public Library serves patrons through reading, lifelong learning and community involvement at two locations: the Main Library downtown at 32 Sheboygan St., and FDLPL Express near Festival Foods.
