PROGRAM IS CANCELED by presenter's employer due to public health concerns over COVID-19.

Attorney Liz Groeschel from Legal Action of Wisconsin, Inc., will talk about FoodShare, which helps people with limited income buy the food they need for good health, at the 6 p.m. Thursday, March 12, Community Chat program at the Fond du Lac Public Library. The program is free; no registration required.

Groeschel will explain the program and talk about how to avoid common problems such as denial, termination or overpayment. She'll cover how to determine a person's level of FoodShare eligibility and best practices for managing the benefit. There will be plenty of time for questions.

Groeschel is a staff attorney in the Oshkosh office of Legal Action of Wisconsin, Inc. Legal Action is a civil legal-aid law firm that provides free civil legal assistance for people who qualify. Groeschel’s practice focuses on public benefits, housing and driver’s license recovery. She earned a bachelor’s degree from UW-Platteville and a law degree, cum laude, from Marquette Law School in Milwaukee. Groeschel was born, raised and lives the Fond du Lac area.
