Located on the second floor in Study Room 1, this is a dedicated phone line that connects to area services such as ADVOCAP, Salvation Army, St. Vincent de Paul, FDL Food Pantry, Solutions Center and more.
There is a charging station with a variety of connectors on the second floor near the light therapy lamp.
Computers and internet access
There are public internet computers for ages 13 and over on the second floor, and for ages 12 and under in the Children's Room on the first floor.
- Library card or photo ID required
- 2-hour time limit per day
- Ages 13 and over may use the second-floor computers
- Ages 12 and under may use the Children's Room computers
- Printing: 15 cents per black & white side; 35 cents per color side

The library has a public fax machine on the first floor. The cost is $1.75 for the first page and $1 for each additional page. International fax rates vary. A credit or debit card is required, or prepaid fax cards can be purchased at the Main Desk. The library cannot receive public faxes.
Light therapy lamp
The library has a light therapy lamp free to use on the second floor, first-come, first-served. Using light therapy may aid you in:
- Sleeping better
- Feeling more uplifted and positive about life
- Focusing and being attentive
Photocopiers are located on the first and second floors. Cash only. Black and white copies are 15 cents per side, color copies are 35 cents per side.
The library has a free flatbed scanner attached to an internet computer on the second floor. Additionally, the two public photocopiers will scan to your USB.
An AccuCut die cut machine is available for public use in the Cindy Casetta Barden Teachers' Resource Room, located in the Children's Room. The machine can be used only with the die cuts available at the library, and users must supply their own paper.
CREATE - INVENT - LEARN - GATHER
The library's makerspace is a permanent do-it-yourself zone where people can gather to create, invent and learn. It includes work tables, equipment to use, a projector and screen, a demonstration kitchen and a digital recording studio. It conducts DIY programs regularly. New equipment is being added all the time.
Fond du Lac Literacy Services helps adults in our community with the basic skills needed to learn and prosper in the 21st century: reading, writing, mathematics and learning English. Dedicated and trained tutors work one-on-one with students using personalized lesson plans at a pace that is comfortable for the student. Tutoring is free. The Fond du Lac Public Library hosts four adult book discussion groups every month.
- Ladies of the Evening meets 6:30-8 pm the first Tuesday of the month. They do not meet in January, July and August.
- Bookworm Babes meets 6:30-8 pm the first Tuesday of the month. They do not meet in January.
- Afternoon Delight meets 1-3:30 pm the second Wednesday of every month.
- Eager Readers meets 1-2:30 pm the second Wednesday of the month. They do not meet in July and August.
- Science fiction and fantasy meets 6:30 to 8 pm the fourth Thursday of the month. They do not meet in November and December.
Members of the groups select their titles by consensus. The library provides copies of the selected titles a month in advance.

Book Club Kits
Book Club Kits contain 10 copies of the same book and discussion questions. They can be borrowed for up to 60 days. Anyone with a library account in good standing can borrow up to two kits at a time. Kits can be reserved, too, through the standard holds system. They cannot be renewed. Homebound delivery service
City of Fond du Lac residents who are unable to visit the library due to physical limitations can receive free monthly delivery of library materials. Homebound residents are matched with a volunteer. Volunteers select and deliver library materials based on information supplied in the Homebound service application.

Nursing home book box
The library maintains a sizeable collection of large print books. Nursing and care facilities are welcome to receive a collection of 30 or 60 large print books for a either two-month or three-month loan. Call (920) 322-3939 for more information.
The library has four public meeting rooms available for reservation: Eugene G. McLane Meeting Room, Mid-States Room, Shared Office Space and Seefeld Conference Room. There are also five small study rooms, located on the second floor, available on a walk-in basis.

Book a Librarian
Through Book a Librarian, anyone can schedule a free, one-on-one individualized session with a reference librarian who will offer assistance on technology-related questions. Librarians are available to help with or research or genealogy questions as well. Book a Librarian cannot provide medical, legal or business advice or opinions, and librarians cannot proofread documents or troubleshoot technological problems on your devices.
