Take your taste buds on a world tour with the Fond du Lac Public Library’s new monthly kitchen demonstration series, Flavors of the World. Every third Tuesday of the month, local and regional foodies and experts will focus on a spice, flavor or herb (or two), tell their stories and demonstrate and share recipes in the Idea Studio.

The programs are free and open to adults and teens age 13 and older. Space is limited. Registration is required for each session separately and begins at 9:30 a.m. two weeks before each program at fdlpl.org, click Calendar. Flavors of the World schedule:

  • February 20: Cinnamon, presented by Nathan Villa, manager of The Spice House in Milwaukee. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 6.
  • March 20: Chocolate, presented by Gabriela Langholff of the Fond du Lac Public Library
  • April 17: Coffee, presented by Josh Cowles of the library
  • May 15: Oregano, presented by Pedro Arellano

The Idea Studio is the library’s makerspace, a permanent do-it-yourself zone in the lower level with a demonstration kitchen, equipment to use for free and DIY programming. For more information, visit www.fdlpl.org
