Each year, individuals worldwide are invited to pause for each January for Holocaust Remembrance Day in memory of the victims of the Holocaust – observed with ceremonies and activities around the world.

Learn more about Holocaust Remembrance Day during a program at the Fond du Lac Public Library on Thursday, Jan. 25 at 6 p.m. in the McLane Room.

Dr. David J. Leichter, associate professor of philosophy at Marian University, and Dr. Matthew P. Szromba, associate professor of history at Marian University, will discuss the lasting significance of the Holocaust and what it means to remember it.

Holocaust Remembrance Day is observed on the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, which occurred Jan. 27, 1945.
