Heard about the Fond du Lac Public Library’s Idea Studio, but haven’t tried out its equipment? Join the Idea Studio for any of the three programs scheduled for June to learn more or get badged on certain equipment:

  • Tuesday, June 14 at 6 p.m. — Take a Turn through the Idea Studio: Join the makerspace's monthly live-demo tour as it demonstrates all of its equipment and what the Idea Studio has to offer. Projects will be set-up and ready-to-go at each station for guests to see in action. Register at calendar.fdlpl.org; space is limited.
  • Tuesday, June 21 at 6 p.m. — Let’s Make: 3-D Printed Summer Charms: Get badged on the Prusa i3 MK3S printers and make miniature keepsakes that show off some solar flair. Register online at calendar.fdlpl.org; space is limited.
  • Wednesday, June 22 at 6 p.m. — FDL Area Press Club (for printmakers): Printing with sintra Board: Learn to create with sintra board, a type of PVC board frequently used for sign-making and displays, that can also be used as a printmaking medium. Join the club for informal demonstrations of how to use this material and a chance to try it out free with our supplies. No experience required. Best for adults & teens age 13 and older; younger children are allowed with a parent or caregiver. Register at calendar.fdlpl.org

Group badging opportunities also are available at the Idea Studio. Check calendar.fdlpl.org for sessions as they become available. The Idea Studio is open for walk-in visits Monday through Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m., Friday from 3 to 6 p.m., and Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.
