There’s still plenty of time to participate in Summer Reading @ the Fond du Lac Public Library. Readers of all ages can tally their time with books, magazines, audiobooks and more for great rewards. Sign-up takes just minutes at fdlpl.org/summer2020 or at any library service desk.

Due to the pandemic and the library’s dedication to keeping the community and staff safe, all of the library’s summer programming is virtual or outdoors. The Main Library at 32 Sheboygan St. will be closed Saturday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day.

July virtual program lineup for teens:

Teen Art Contest: Deadline July 31. Teens in grades 6-12 are invited to submit original artwork that portrays the theme, “Living Through History: My Quarantine Life,” in the Fond du Lac Public Library’s new contest. Judges will award one grand prize ($250 Visa gift card) and second place. The public will vote for People’s Choice. The three winners will be framed and on display through July 2021 in the library’s Teen section. Find details on how to enter at fdlpl.org/teenart. Deadline is July 31.

Teen Outdoor Photo Scavenger Hunt: Each month this summer has new scavenger hunt photo targets. Find them, snap them and send them to teens@fdlpl.org. Teens who submit all five will receive 10 extra entries in the Summer Reading @ the Library grand prize drawing at the end of the summer. Each teen is limited to one set of photos per month. Follow the scavenger hunt @fondylibraryteens on Facebook and Instagram. Emailed entries due no later than July 10.
